THE RELAXATION AND STRESS MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

The Relaxation and Stress Management Program was created to do something about retraining our rusty central nervous system and its antiquated responses by helping people learn better ways to cope. This program is designed for those persons who desire training for handling everyday stress, tension and anxiety - all of which may be unnecessarily draining energy or work potential.     

The three studio-recorded audio-cassettes, each approximately 20 minutes long, help the listener master clinically proven stress management techniques. Relaxing musical and environmental sounds provide optimal backgrounds. The materials are stored in a handsome binder with built-in pockets for each cassette and a 52-page guide book.

Progressive relaxation techniques are the best starting place for stress management. The exercises are an extremely effective way of reducing tension and inducing relaxation. Deep breathing exercises promote regular and calm respiration. Techniques are introduced so that muscles can be relaxed while a person is busy and active. When progressive and deep muscle relaxation is mastered, the person can quickly relax and cope with everyday stress in an effective and healthy way.

 

AUTOGENIC TRAINING PARTS I AND II

 
The autogenic relaxation exercises relax the system which automatically regulates heart beat, blood circulation and many other important biological functions. This relaxation decreases our "fight or flight" response and can help control migraine headaches and reduce other effects from stress. This training programs the mind to create a state of inner calm.

 

VISUAL IMAGERY TRAINING/SUCCESS REHEARSAL

 
After learning to relax muscles, heart rate, blood flow, etc., visual imagery relaxation teaches the individual to produce relaxing images and thoughts. Many people find it helpful to selectively work on exceptionally difficult life stresses. Success rehearsal teaches an individual to relax in situations that would normally be stressful for them
